Professor of Physics Calvin Johnson has been elected to the director line for the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB) Theory Alliance Executive Board. 

Scientists from various universities and national laboratories form the FRIB Theory Alliance. Together, they work to meld theory and experiment to advance a range of sciences, while establishing opportunities for the next generation of theorists.

Johnson will serve as director-elect of the board for 2024 and director for 2025.
