A tutor assists with math problems in the Math and Science Learning Center
The Math and Science Learning Center (MSLC) is running a crowdfunding campaign from April 29 – June 3 titled Giving Back to Our Tutors.
As students walk across that graduation stage, consider showing your appreciation for the MSLC tutors who have helped so many of them succeed in challenging courses across the College of Sciences.
Your donation will go towards efforts that will allow our tutors to add in the following meaningful ways to their CVs:
- Presenting a talk or poster at an inaugural conference hosted at SDSU in Spring 2025
- Certification as a College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) Level 1 Tutor, an internationally recognized professional tutoring certification
Donations may also be used toward efforts to increase the sense of community at the MSLC, such as:
- Graduation regalia for graduating staff designating MSLC Tutor/Desk Staff status
- Birthday celebrations
- Food/snacks for long days of training
