The Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences is now the official name for the Department of Geological Sciences.
This change is meant to expand the focus of the department to meet the needs of students and society in the face of a changing California and a changing world while maintaining our legacy in traditional earth sciences.
The College of Sciences and department websites and social media are being updated to reflect this change, with the new Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences site being earth.sdsu.edu
