Congratulations to Annie Meier, a psychology Master’s student, on receiving a Graduate Student Preceptorship Award from the Rheumatology Research Foundation (RRF). The RRF Preceptorship Award funds Annie’s research and pays for her travel to the American College of Rheumatology’s annual meeting in Chicago this fall.  Annie currently works in Dr. Vanessa Malcarne’s Chronic Illness Laboratory.  For her Preceptorship Award, she proposed a research project investigating the relationship of medical signs and symptoms to social interaction anxiety in patients with systemic sclerosis. Annie just finished her first year of the master’s program, and looks forward to presenting her research at the ACR meeting later this year.
