SDSU sciences professors have worldwide impact with research projects around the globe
In locations from Tahiti to Vietnam, SDSU researchers are hard at work, and their research is making an impact around the world. Here’s a sampling of projects underway today with many more in places such as Alaska, Antarctica, Tijuana and Tajikistan.
This includes associate professor of psychology Linda Abarbanell’s studies on belief systems in a Tseltal Mayan community in Chiapas, Mexico, assistant professor of earth and environmental sciences Rafael Almeida’s work on earthquakes in sparsely populated tropical jungles of eastern Ecuador, and professor of biology Forest Rohwer’s coral reef restoration project around the Line Islands south of Hawaii.
