Excellence in Teaching Award
2019 Allison Vaughn has been a faculty member in the Department of Psychology since the fall of 2008. Allison has distinguished herself as an outstanding teacher and scholar whose creativity, effectiveness, and passion for establishing and creating teaching environments to facilitate student learning are laudable by any standard. Allison has demonstrated a remarkable commitment to excellence in teaching at the department and university levels using multiple teaching modalities across substantive and methods courses. She has a broad interest in student well-being and creates supportive learning environments for all students. She has been engaged in curriculum development teaching excellence at the undergraduate and graduate levels; student mentorship and advising to advance the academic success and personal development; and she provides university-level engagement and leadership through her role in the Center for Teaching and Learning.
