Giving Opportunities

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at San Diego State University has long been shaped by the support of alumni, faculty, friends, and community members who believe in the value of science education and research. Contributions to the department help provide scholarships, support student research, maintain laboratory spaces and equipment, and create opportunities for students both inside and outside the classroom. These funds also help graduate and undergraduate students attend conferences, present their work, and prepare for future careers in science and related fields. Many of these giving opportunities were created in honor of faculty members whose teaching, mentorship, and research left a lasting impact on the department. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps strengthen the experiences and opportunities available to current and future SDSU chemistry and biochemistry students.
