Dean Jeff Roberts Appointed to CCAS Board of Directors

The Council of Colleges of Arts and Sciences (CCAS) has announced that Jeff Roberts, dean of the College of Sciences at San Diego State University, has been elected to its Board of Directors.
The announcement was made following the CCAS annual meeting in St. Louis, Missouri. Roberts will serve a three-year term as one of several new board members chosen to help guide the association’s mission of supporting arts and sciences leadership nationwide.
The CCAS Board plays a vital role in shaping policy discussions and professional development programs that strengthen liberal education and the work of deans across a wide range of colleges and universities. Roberts joins a distinguished group of academic leaders who bring diverse perspectives and experiences to advancing the arts and sciences in higher education.
Roberts, who has served as dean of the College of Sciences at SDSU since 2019, has been instrumental in expanding research initiatives, advancing student success in STEM fields, and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration across the university.
