Bio
I am a computational biologist and bioinformatics scientist studying plant genome evolution. I am presently an NSF fellow and postdoc, hosted by the Sethuraman Lab at SDSU and the Barker Lab at the University of Arizona. I love teaching, and I hold adjunct appointments at SDSU and Grossmont College.
As an undergraduate, I studied physics and mathematics at the University of California, San Diego. My master's degree is in applied mathematics, also from UC San Diego. For my Ph.D., I studied computational evolutionary biology with Dr. Arun Sethuraman.
My Ph.D. is jointly from San Diego State University and the University of California, Riverside.
