Bio
In 1975 my sister and I were very fortunate to be able to participate in Dr. Theodore Brunson's groundbreaking Suzuki String Program at SDSU -- what has been described as "an extraordinarily special chapter in American string pedagogy." Dr. Brunson was one of the earliest champions of the Suzuki method in the United States.
With a springboard like that, a career in physics was a natural outcome. I got my Ph. D. in Physics from UC Berkeley in 1996, and subsequently taught and conducted research there and at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, as well as working in industry. Many of my friends and relatives went to SDSU, and a few also taught here. I am delighted to be back.
